Shocking — All Networks Blame Israel for Escalating Palestinian Violence After 160 Rockets Fired From Gaza Into Israel
As sure as night turns into day, the major media networks in the US looked for ways to blame Israel for the increased violence on Monday, a day known as Jerusalem Day — a celebration of the reunification of East and West Jerusalem by the Israeli military in 1967 following the end of the Six Day War. But the celebration was marked by violent clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israelis in Jerusalem and elsewhere.
More than 300 Palestinians were injured fighting in Jerusalem with Israeli forces who fired tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets at rioters at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of Islam’s holiest sites, on Monday. Israeli police said 21 officers were hurt and seven civilians were injured.
Palestinian protesters responded by hurling stones at police.
In one incident, they threw rocks at an Israeli vehicle driving outside the Old City walls, causing it to veer off the road, hit a bystander and crash into a stone barrier.
Starting in the early evening on Monday, and lasting well into the early morning hours of Tuesday, Hamas and Palestinian militants operating in Gaza launched 160 rockets into Israel, including seven that were targeted at Jerusalem. I reported on Monday night about the impressive use of the “Iron Dome” by the Israeli military to defeat many of the rockets.
The Israeli defense forces struck back, with airstrikes inside Gaza targeting the rocket launch sites and militants operating those systems.

When it came to the US media, they covered the Israeli retaliation as the “escalation”, and not the actions of Hamas to indiscriminately rain down explosive tipped rockets on the civilian population of Israel. Nicholas Fondacaro from Newsbusters called it:
Israel realizes it is now in this fight alone — it has so little faith in the Biden Administration it told the United States to stay out.
Israel is warning the US not to intervene in clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces amid riots in the Old City of Jerusalem — after US national security adviser Jake Sullivan expressed the Biden administration’s “serious concerns about the situation” in a phone call with his Israeli counterpart.
The statement said Sullivan and Ben Shabbat “agreed that the launching of rocket attacks and incendiary balloons from Gaza towards Israel is unacceptable and must be condemned.”
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also cautioned Israel to “exercise maximum restraint and respect the right to freedom of peaceful assembly.”
But Israeli officials told Axios that the Biden administration and the international community should keep their distance.
