I know quite a bit about ethylene oxide, or ETO (called EO in the video). Hospitals use ETO to sterilize their instruments and accessories, even towels in some cases. ETO kills everything.
Technically speaking, it is C2H4O, and is a colorless cyclic ether with a sweet odor.
Many years ago, I sold scientific equipment. The equipment I sold were gas chromatographic remote sensing devices. These were used to detect leaks of a variety of gases, depending on the application. Hospitals were one set of my clientele (others were well-loggers and semiconductor manufacturers). If the device sensed a leak of ETO, hospital-wide alarms would sound and a general evacuation would take place. The stuff is extremely dangerous.
