Memorial Day—Remember Our Fallen Soldiers
On Memorial Day we commemorate our fallen soldiers. All life is precious. We should only engage in war when it is absolutely necessary to protect our borders and our people. Spreading “democracy” and “building nations” overseas is a false justification that has cost us hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars.
This weekend also marks the unofficial start of summer and I want to wish everyone a meaningful Memorial Day. Unfortunately, because of Bidenflation, many Americans can’t afford to take a road trip this summer. That’s because the average price of gallon gasoline is expected to hit $4.65 this Memorial Day weekend, that’s up $135% from just two years ago when the cost of gas was just $1.94 a gallon. 70% of Americans say their summer vacation plans have changed because of the historic high gas prices. Bidenflation is now costing the average family $569 more per month on everything.
When asked about the record high gas prices this week, Joe Biden had this to say: “We are, uh, being part of this transformative automobile sector and accelerating us on the road where we’re gonna be handing, uh, to, uh, the United States in an all-electric future.” Proving once again that I was right – this in intentional malfeasance. Joe Biden wants to make gasoline so unaffordable to force Americans to “go green.” Echoing Biden, Energy Secretary Granholm noted this week that the soaring gas prices are an “exclamation point” that America must “de-carbonize” and accelerate its “green energy push.”
The truth is we need common sense energy policies. We have so much natural gas and oil that gas should be under $2 a gallon right now. The Biden Regime stopped the Keystone Pipeline, the Dakota Pipeline and cancelled oil and gas leases and drilling permits. 18 months later our economy is in turmoil and the democrats are celebrating like it’s a victory.
Evil Attacks Innocent Children
The tragic shooting of precious, innocent life in Texas is beyond heartbreaking. Pure evil struck an elementary school, ripping families apart and shocking our nation. The pain is so deep that I weep from my soul. There are no condolences great enough to overcome the grief. My heart goes out to all the families of those who lost loved ones. I mourn with all of America for those who were taken from us so soon.
Reflexively, moments after the shooting the Left blamed Republicans, including me, for the actions of this murderer. This absurd rhetoric is completely abhorrent, yet all too common from leftists quick to politicize tragedies. Not surprising, Joe Biden and most democrats used this tragedy to push for gun control suggesting that if it wasn’t for a gun, this murderer would be a well-adjusted individual. Schools remain the most unprotected institutions in America, yet democrats fail to remember they pushed legislation to defund school police protection and fought to remove armed police from schools.
In Washington, D.C. I work in Congress where we are surrounded by a large police force. There are guarded points of entry. Every time I travel to an airport there is the same: armed security and metal detectors. If members of Congress and every day travelers have this level of security, why can’t we secure our schools with single entry points and security? Don’t tell me we don’t have the money. We just sent Ukraine $62 billion (over my strong objections) and we wasted trillions of dollars in Afghanistan and Iraq “building” schools and security there. It is time we help our own people for once. It is past time.
Andrew Pollack, who lost his daughter in the horrific 2018 Parkland, Florida shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, reacted to the school shooting this week with advice to prevent further school shooting. On Tuesday night, Pollack tweeted, “Armed guard — Single point of entry — Teacher training. We send out $Billions to other countries all the time. Why not fund school safety in America?”
The truth is that America is approaching a tipping point where the values that led to its success are being attacked by those who want to radically change the nation, including the ruling class, woke corporations, the liberal media and school boards. Things are getting darker and darker in our country and the ruling class and their allies continue to talk in ways that are remarkably destructive, and our nation is paying a heavy price.
The leftists want your guns and to take away your right to self-defense. They use tragedies like this to push that unconstitutional notion all the while claiming it’s for “the children.” Like the democrat run cities, they want the people defenseless at the mercy of criminals and big government. I reject that and encourage everyone to take gun training and learn self-defense.
I support our law enforcement. But something went wrong in Texas. The reports that 19 officers waited almost an hour while a lunatic was on a shooting spree is disturbing. Whenever you hear a leftist say “Why do you need a gun? Just call the police and let them handle it” remember what happened in Texas this week. Police have rules and guidelines. Many have been intimidated by leftists for simply doing their jobs. Because of that, we are our first line of defense. As they say, when seconds matter, the police are 10 minutes away. Again, take gun training and safety classes. Our police cannot be everywhere all the time.

China Maneuvers in the Pacific
In latest bid to wrest control of the region, Beijing officials announced that it wants 10 small Pacific nations to endorse a sweeping agreement covering everything from security to fisheries. No doubt China is not interested in only the fish. The agreement would needlessly heighten geopolitical tensions and threaten regional stability.
The Biden Regime has failed again at foreign policy. China is essentially taking over areas that American soldiers fought and died to liberate in World War 2. These countries are looking at China because the Biden Regime has made the United States weak and feckless and an unreliable ally.

Nuclear Bomb Testing – the Aftermath Continues with RECA
As many of you know, the federal government tested nuclear bombs in Nevada from 1951 to 1962. People in Mohave County Arizona could, and did, watch the mushroom clouds. Many of the people who were proximate to the testing subsequently developed radiation related cancers. These people are called Downwinders.
They are entitled to $50,000 in compensation from the federal government if they get cancer related to radiation exposure. I have worked tirelessly since 2014 to get more money and to include more areas in the impacted zone.

Major Study Bombshell—Lockdowns Failed
This week, Johns Hopkins University released a metastudy that reviewed data stemming from the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns in Europe and the United States. The study revealed that at best mortality may have been reduced by 16,000 people in the entire United States and possibly zero deaths reduced. “In comparison, there are approximately 72,000 flu deaths in Europe and 38,000 flu deaths in the United States each year.” Based on the paltry impact of lockdowns on health (and without counter weighing the massive social and economic harm the lockdowns inflicted) the study concluded “Our meta-analysis strongly suggests that lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.”

Biden Creates Baby Formula Shortage
Who would have thought the United States of America would suffer food shortages, including baby formula, empty shelves, hyper-inflation, GDP decline, and rampant crime 16 months after having the best economy in our lifetimes?
None of us would have thought that the Biden Regime and its democrat policies could destroy the greatest economy we’ve ever had under President Trump (super low inflation, an abundance of food, low energy prices and cheap gas, and record growth in GDP) to a socialist disaster a year and a half later.
But they did. And as I have often said, you would really have to be trying to screw things up this badly. Sadly, their reckless policies are intentional and Americans are experiencing the cruel consequences.
Everywhere that socialist democrats govern they destroy the country. Venezuela. Cuba. And now they are hell-bent on destroying America. I am more determined than ever to fight these socialists and take back our country.
Don’t let the democrat socialists in America do to American babies what they did in Venezuela. This picture from ABC shows a starving and malnourished Venezuelan baby. Like the United States, Venezuela has more than enough farm land to feed its people. But the socialist government there has created shortages, chaos and starvation.
I shared in last weekend’s newsletter the lunacy of what democrats referred to as “baby formula” legislation they brought to the House floor for a vote. If you missed it, don’t fret. You’ll definitely want to read it by clicking here.
Pressed for time? Here’s a short summary: Joe Biden knew all about the formula shortage for seven months but did absolutely nothing to increase formula production or clear the FDA bottleneck that we responsible for the shortage. So, Congress passed two feel-good bills to spends millions of more taxpayer dollars that have zero, absolutely zero chance of increasing baby formula production.
Mockingly referred to as baby formula bills all they really did was fund bureaucrats and give them more money. Not one bottle of baby formula will be created because of the democrat “formula” bills. Not one. Nevertheless, they will give raises and bonuses to bureaucrats. Any Member of Congress can issue a torrid of press releases claiming they “solved” the formula crisis. Don’t get duped. I know you won’t.
Even the mainstream Fake News is sick of the democrat socialist failures. When CNN and MSNBC call you out as a democrat, you should take some lipstick and write a big “F” on the mirror—for failure. Check this out:
- CNN’s Dana Bash: “How did we get to the point where the United States of America has to airlift baby formula from another country in order to feed its children?”
- CNN’s Jake Tapper: “The recall in Abbott happened back in February. President Biden only invoked the Defense Production Act last week.”
- Tapper: “This is hardly the first time that there’s this slow-rolling anticipated disaster happening exactly as forewarned.”
- MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski: “I’m not feeling an intensity. Do you want to know where there is not a baby formula crisis? In Poland on the border [with Ukraine].”
- MSNBC’s Willie Geist: “Contrary to what we’ve heard, this didn’t just sneak up on people. This has been many months in the making.”
- MSNBC’s Katy Tur: “The Abbott [plant] closed in February – February!”
- ABC’s Martha Raddatz: “The White House said they’d been working on this for months and months but it didn’t appear that way.”
- CBS News’ Margaret Brennan: “This has been ongoing for months…whistleblower in September, February the recall. It’s May. Why has it taken so long?”
- NBC News’ Kristen Welker: Joe Biden is “facing fierce criticism for what many are calling a slow response to the crisis that’s been brewing for months.”
Biden was warned. He did nothing. Now – in the United States of America –mothers are waiting on tarmacs for baby formula so they can feed their babies.
Now, about that shipment of baby formula that was airlifted by the Air Force into the United States from Europe: WHAT A MADE-FOR-HOLLYWOOD-STUNT. A mere 78,000 pounds of formula arrived. Sounds like a lot, right? Nope. Hardly. The shipment was enough to feed just 9,000 babies for one week. To put that into perspective, there are four million newborn and babies in America. I’m just a doctor, but something tells me that Joe Biden may have taken a premature victory lap.

Border Crisis Worsens—Full Scale Invasion
The Biden regime released new data this week showing nearly 235,000 illegal aliens storming across our southern border in April in an historic assault on our sovereignty.
To put this in perspective, in just one month, that’s nearly the entire population of Scottsdale, Arizona, which, according to the United States Census Bureau, stands at 241,361 law abiding people.
This is an historic and record high – and an all-time low in security as well – from any previous point in American history. To say that the Biden regime is incompetent is an understatement. At this point this appears to be a deliberate policy to flood our country with illegal aliens, criminals, drugs, drug traffickers and sex traffickers. You may ask why the democrats want this? There are many theories, I will let you go through the options yourself.
More than 3.3 million illegal aliens have now crossed the southern border since Biden assumed office. In all, at least 700,000 illegal aliens have been released into the United States. This is an outrage and as soon as America First members of Congress take the majority, we will have to implement massive deportations and arrests.
More that 1200 pounds of deadly fentanyl were seized along the southern border in April. These drugs are killing our loved ones as drug poisoning reached record levels.
Congress Wastes Millions More, Turns Back on Moms
There’s been a severe national shortage on baby formula that Joe Biden and his dilettante administrators have known about for seven months but ignored. They created this problem and appear to not care less about it.
The shortage was caused by a formula recall of a nutrition formula plant dating back to last October. The shortage is severe because many babies use formula during their early months. Even though we are supposedly a prosperous nation, we have only one formula plant in the entire country. That is a topic for another day. Complicating matters, the Biden administration has banned import of formula from Europe, which apparently is of higher quality and better health benefits.
Remember this quote from Joe Biden last week in response to questions from a reporter if his administration could have moved more quickly? “If we’d been better mind readers, I guess we could have.” This man is a danger to America.
Such condescending arrogance. And another lie. The hard, cold truth is the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) told the Biden regime about the nutrition formula plant last October, yet Biden did absolutely nothing. In fact, Health and Human Services Secretary Bacerra was asked on CNN this week if the Biden administration was aware of the formula shortage. His response? “The FDA has kept me apprised of this from last year.”
The pattern is clear. Whether it is flooding our country with illegal aliens and crime or withholding baby formula, this regime is harming Americans and American babies.
So this week, Congress does what it normally does: it threw millions of taxpayer money at a problem that has absolutely zero to do with the lack of money. Congress this week voted on H.R. 7790, the so-called “Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriation Act” and H.R. 7791, the “Access to Baby Formula Act.” I voted against both bills and let me explain why.
First, let’s start with the basics. The names on these bills are flat out lies. It is a common democrat propaganda technique to put flowery, nice sounding names on bills that have nothing to do with the name. This allows them and use the media to lie about what is really in the bill.
Nothing in either of these bills buys, supports or creates baby formula. If it did, I would have easily supported them. For example, H.R. 7791 merely provides $28 million to the FDA, a large government bureaucracy. Does it let that agency manufacture or buy baby formula? Absolutely not. It is for salary raises, benefits and lining the pockets of bureaucrats. I could not support this wasteful spending.
Throwing more money at the FDA does not create baby formula. Bottom line: There is not enough baby formula because the FDA shut down the only plant making it in the United States and failed to get it back to operating despite knowing about the shortage for seven months. The other bill, H.R. 7790 allows mothers on welfare to use more of their welfare benefits on baby formula. But this also does not create or make baby formula. With a shortage, the mothers on welfare will not be able buy formula BECAUSE SHELVES ARE EMPTY. Formula does not exist! Maybe Congress should have voted to given them magic wands to create baby formula because that is really what this bill is akin to.
Joe Biden’s FDA shutting down of a major baby formula producer in February when they knew baby formula was already in short supply was a terrible idea and typical of this inept administration. Even CNN’s Jake Tapper noted: “This is hardly the first time that there’s this slow-rolling, anticipated disaster happening exactly as forewarned.”
Baby Formula for Illegal Aliens—Not Real Americans
By now you might be asking, where is all the available baby formula that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has? The incompetent and America Last Biden regime decided to give our FEMA baby formula to illegal aliens, not Americans. You heard that right. Today illegal aliens along the southern border get all the baby formula they need, for free, while American babies and mothers suffer. This is criminal.
Instead of useless virtue signaling votes, Congress and the administration should provide real solutions. I voted no because these lame bills do nothing to help American families. I stand against starving our babies to feed illegal aliens. I will not vote for bills that may sound nice, but just fund bureaucrats while Americans suffer. Enough of this nonsense.
Biden Bends to the World Health Organization – Sovereignty at Risk
This weekend, the World Health Organization (WHO) will meet in Switzerland for its annual World Health Assembly. Countries will vote on the International Pandemic Treaty that will give the WHO power over sovereign nations with regards to pandemic responses.
Rightfully so, I’ve been getting a ton of letters from concerned constituents regarding this meeting, so I wanted to spend some time discussing it.
Sadly, in going along to get along, the Biden administration submitted changes to the WHO emergency response regulations that could give the WHO more power including declaring worldwide health emergencies at will, mandating sovereign countries to lockdown and requiring vaccine and passport mandates.
The WHO embarrassed itself in the wake of COVID-19. They cozied up to China and shielded China’s lie that COVID-19 was a myth while the virus continued to spread. Why, you may ask? Because the current leader of the WHO was backed by China. If the WHO had taken the virus seriously earlier, lives could have been saved. Candidly, I do not think the United States should contribute a dime to its budget. President Trump didn’t either, that’s why he withdrew the United States from the WHO. Biden, always quick to surrender our sovereignty, put us back in it.
I reject all types of international law, including those promulgated by the WHO. The United States is a sovereign nation whose citizens must decide for themselves the laws that bind them, not some international treaty.
Any bill that comes before Congress that shifts power from American citizens to unelected globalist foreigners is one that is dead on arrival for me. Moreover, the United States alone should have the power to declare state of emergencies, not an incompetent international body. In fact, I introduced a bill that passed the Senate that would end the national COVID-19 emergency that the Biden administration refuses to terminate, despite much of the country reopening and moving on. The pandemic should no longer be used as an excuse to seize unlawful and unnecessary executive power.
FDA Head Pushes Disinformation – Says Disinformation the “Leading Cause of Death” in America
Last week, the head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Robert Califf, publicly lied to Americans and single-handedly engaged in massive disinformation. Ironically, his claim was that “misinformation is now the leading cause of death” in the United States. That’s pretty rich.
What is the truth?
What is missing from this chart is “disinformation.”
The Biden regime has been spewing a constant stream of disinformation about inflation, COVID-19, gasoline prices, Russia, and so much more. Now they are lying about the nation’s health issues. They have no shame.
Gosar Backs the Blue
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to stop by the Lake Havasu City Police Department and meet with Chief Doyle and many of the fine law enforcement officers who protect us and keep our communities safe. It was a fitting visit because last week was National Police Week.
Violent crime is raging across our nation and our brave law enforcement officers have come under attack by those on the Left who dangerously and wrongly suggest defunding the police is the answer. This anti-police rhetoric is reckless!
It disgusts me that our law enforcement officials, who put their lives on the line every day, are literally being ambushed by violent criminals emboldened by rhetoric from the Left.
Did you know that shootings of police officers have increased nearly 40% from one year ago? 346 police officers were shot in 2021. 123 officers have been shot just THIS YEAR. These statistics are staggering and troubling.
As long as I am in Congress, I will always fight to invest in our nation’s law enforcement. Thank you, Chief Doyle for the opportunity to spend some time with you and your amazing officers.

America First Means No More Pointless Foreign Wars
This week, I voted against sending an additional $40 billion to Ukraine and let me explain why.
First. I have maintained from the start that we have no business getting involved in another war. I want peace in that region. Spending $40 billion to fund the Ukraine war machine is pointless and will lead to more death and destruction.
Ukraine is not our ally. The Zelensky regime is an autocratic dictatorship that was illegally installed by a coup in 2014. It promotes far left ideology and is at the source of Biden corruption scandals. Ukraine militia killed over 14,000 Russians prior to the Russian invasion. Ukraine also cut off all water to the Crimean Peninsula in an effort to starve people. Russia is not our enemy.
Total No. of U.S. deaths caused by Russia in 2021: 0
Total No. of U.S. deaths caused by Mexican fentanyl in 2021: 105,000
With these votes to “support” Ukraine with your tax money, members of Congress are walking us into a war. We don’t need another 20-year trillion-dollar war. We just lost a humiliating defeat to sandal wearing goat herders in Afghanistan.
We have no business in Ukraine. It’s not our fight. I refuse to let us get dragged into it.
Further. Earlier this year, Congress already approved over $13 billion in spending for Ukraine. This new $40 billion spending spree takes money away from the priorities of the American people and recklessly sends our taxpayer dollars to a foreign nation without any accountability.
At a time when America is struggling with 8.3% Bidenflation, $30 trillion debt and an invasion along our southern border, forking over another $40 billion dollars to Ukraine is criminal.
Sadly, the Biden Regime prioritizes every other country before it even thinks about our own – that is the definition of America Last.
It wasn’t that long ago with democrats nickel and dimed President Trump on wall funding claiming $8 billion was too much to spend to secure our porous southern border. But Ukraine? Open the money spigot! Once again, there were no hearings held and no debate before congress approved this spending. There are no spending offsets, no accountability for where each dollar will be spent, and no guarantees for equal contributions from European neighbors.
Additionally, the aid package only lasts through September of this year, meaning Congress will no doubt be voting once again to give billions more to Ukraine. I won’t support spending a dime until the long list of problems here at home are solved.
Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Opens Massive Voter Fraud Investigation
Earlier this week, the Yuma County Sheriff’s office announced that they, along with the Yuma County Recorder’s Office, are examining cases of election fraud from the 2020 General Election, as well as a recent pattern of fraudulent voter registrations in the lead up to the 2022 Primary Election. The Sheriff’s office noted that their office had 16 open voting and registration investigations, and identified impersonation fraud, false registrations, duplicate voting, and fraudulent use of absentee ballots as the types of election fraud being investigated. Anyone found violating our elections laws should go to jail. I applaud the Sheriff Wilmot for fighting to protect the integrity of our elections.

Gosar Votes to Extend Compensation to Downwinders, Urges Reforms to Include Impacted Areas Currently Excluded
This week, I voted to extend the authorization of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Trust Fund for two additional years. While I am pleased to have voted to extend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) two additional years to provide benefit payments to persons who developed cancer or other related illnesses after being exposed to radiation from atomic weapons testing during our nation’s Cold War Era, I remain concerned that the original act failed to properly define the boundaries of impacted populations.
Unfortunately, Americans that reside in counties in close proximity to where the testing occurred are excluded from this program for no logical scientific reason, including people that reside in Mohave County, Arizona and Clark County, Nevada.
Since first being elected to Congress, I have worked tirelessly to fix the error that excluded Downwinders from Mohave and Clark Counties from filing claims with the Department of Justice. A two-year extension is certainly helpful, but Congress has a moral responsibility to update RECA and should stop dragging its feet and immediately take up H.R 538, the Downwinders Parity Act of 2021, important bipartisan legislation I authored that would extend RECA coverage to all of Mohave and Clark Counties.

An I.D. is an easy to get and well accepted form of proper identification to travel. All Americans are required to provide identification to travel. It makes no sense to allow illegal aliens, criminals, drug traffickers and others to waltz through security lines without any identification except a court order which is easily forged. I voted against this security breach and in favor of proper identification. Nevertheless, the democrats control the House of Representatives and this common-sense legislation was rejected, making all Americans less safe.

Last week, students from WCA visited our nation’s capital and my amazing staff gave them a tour of my office. RECA has awarded over $2.4 billion in benefits to more than 37,000 claimants since its inception in 1990. Compensation is paid from the Radiation Exposure Compensation Trust Fund. S. 4119 would extend the authorization of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Trust Fund through two years from the date of enactment of this bill. An End to Genocide in America?
Earlier this week, I shared my thoughts on the draft Supreme Court opinion that was leaked to Politico and shared publicly. So important is this issue that I am reposting my thoughts in its entirety:
In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court issued what is widely considered one of the worst decisions the Court has ever written. The case was Roe v. Wade. We know today that the plaintiff in Roe lied about being raped. She later recanted her false claims and gave her life to Christ. But the damage was done.
The Court decided it wanted to legislate and create law, not just interpret laws. The Court came up with a bizarre ruling completely ungrounded from the Constitution, citing fake science to justify the murder of babies. It was a dark time for America and our nation has suffered ever since. Fortunately, there may be better days coming.
For the first time in the history of the court, a draft Supreme Court opinion was leaked to Politico and shared publicly. Over 240 years of court history was shattered by this severe breach of decorum and institutional privacy. The Supreme Court must have security to be impartial arbiters of the law. The majority opinion written, by Justice Samuel Alito, indicates that the Supreme Court is likely to overturn the egregiously immoral and unconstitutional Roe v. Wade.
On the merits, if the draft opinion becomes final and Roe v. Wade is finally overruled, it will be a long overdue correction of an injustice. The court in Roe created a patently ridiculous and false “constitutional right” to have an abortion.
49 years ago the Supreme Court of the United States madethe decision allowing for abortion on demand. When the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, leftist scientists and doctors claimed that babies were considered viable at 28 weeks. We know that is absolutely false. In fact, premature babies can survive at 22 weeks, or even earlier. This is at least a month and half earlier than Roe’s arbitrary “viability” date. We know that at just five weeks, unborn babies have a heartbeat. At 10 weeks, babies can kick and jump and have fingers and toes. At 15 weeks, an unborn baby has fully formed lips and noses and can feel pain, make facial expressions, and can hiccup.
The majority opinion concludes:
“We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each state from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives. The judgment of the Fifth Circuit is reversed, and the case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion. It is so ordered.”
Summarizing this decision, nothing in the Constitution provided any support for this unhinged decision that has led to over 62 million American babies being murdered since abortion was legalized in 1973. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each state from prohibiting abortion and states will be free to regulate abortion as they see fit.
I will ALWAYS fight for the lives of the millions of unborn children who have a right to grow up in this beautiful country, and a right to live up to the infinite possibilities America has to offer. I pray the Supreme Court protects these unborn babies and finally throws out the Roe v. Wade injustice. If Roe is overruled thousands of babies will be saved and it will be a first step for the Supreme Court to clean up its legacy and get back to interpreting laws, not creating laws.
Still Confused about Roe v. Wade?
There seems to be massive confusion about Roe v. Wade, the disgraced court ruling making up a supposed constitutional right, and its possible reversal.
If Roe is overruled, and I pray it is, it does not mean “abortion will suddenly be illegal.” It means each of the 50 states can create their own laws. States like California may adopt infanticide. There are demonic people there that are talking about “abortion” after a baby is born. This to most decent Americans is a death cult and barbaric.
Other states, like Arizona, may prohibit abortions entirely or after a period of time established by the legislature.
As you all know, I believe in the sanctity of life. I would vote to ban abortions. All of them. I have the most pro-life record in Congress.
For those who love killing infants, I say move to California. For those who love babies and life and the next generation, stay in Arizona.
Gosar Demands Answers on DHS ‘Disinformation Governance Board’
Last week, I wrote extensively about the Biden administration’s announcement of the creation of its Disinformation Governance Board. If you missed, click here and check out the very first story.
According to a Department of Homeland Security Fact Sheet, the Department is “focused on disinformation that threatens the security of the American people, including disinformation spread by foreign states such as Russia, China, and Iran, or other adversaries such as transnational criminal organizations and human smuggling organizations.”
All Americans should be deeply troubled by Mr. Biden’s decision to create a Disinformation Governance Board. The sole function of this board is to spy on American citizens and double down on this administration’s continued abuse of powers to attack Americans who disagree with its policies, smearing them as extremists.
In response, I sent a letter this week to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas demanding answers from the Department of Homeland Security regarding the establishment of its Disinformation Governance Board.

Gosar Announces Winners of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition
One of the most enjoyable aspects of being a Member of Congress is being able to host the annual Congressional Art Competition. This annual contest, first started in 1982 and with over 650,000 participants since then, selects the best art of the year from high school art students.
This past weekend, I once again had the thrill of announcing the winners of the art contest. The top four were selected from a panel of local judges and the “People’s Choice” winner was selected via online voting.
The first-place winner received an $8,000 scholarship to Northern Arizona University and their artwork will hang in the Cannon Tunnel of the United States Capitol for one year. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and students who submitted artwork this year. We truly have some talented artists in our District.

Ryan David Wyatt Cone Flies Like an Eagle!
I wanted to give a special shout-out this week to Ryan David Wyatt Cone of Boy Scouts of America Troop 777 in San Tan Valley who earned the Eagle Scout Award that past weekend!
Ryan’s dad, David Cone is the Scoutmaster, and we are both incredibly proud of Ryan for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank that Scouting offers to Scouts. Only a small percentage of young men who begin Scouting receive this great honor. In Scouts, the eagle symbolized strength of character, service to our community and nation, respect for mankind and love of God. Ryan is a great example to our community. Congratulations and best of luck in your next adventures, Ryan.

Ms. Jankowicz amplified the debunked narrative that Hunter Biden’s laptop was part of a Russian disinformation scheme. If you missed it, you can read my previously shared thoughts on Hunter Biden’s laptop here. Jankowicz helped spread the partisan disinformation. All Americans should be deeply troubled by Mr. Biden’s decision to create the Disinformation Governance Board. The creation of this board appears to double down on this administration’s continued abuse of taxpayer dollars and the federal government’s powers to attack Americans who disagree with its policies, smearing them as extremists and perpetrators of ‘mis- dis- and mal-information.’ Rest assured that I will do everything in my power to terminate this board and prohibit the use of Federal funds to establish any other similar board. A Note from Me to You: The creation of this so called “Disinformation Board” is a well-known communist practice of having the regime “tell” the people what the “truth” is. In reality, it is propaganda for the regime and the real truth will be labeled a lie or be deemed subversive. We saw this with two years of COVID lies. We saw this with the Hunter Biden laptop lies. We saw this with the Russia collusion hoax. We see this with inflation, with Joe Biden and the democrats blaming everyone but themselves. And we continue to see it with the 2020 election lies. We used to live in a free society where differing opinions were allowed. This latest effort is to stop all dissent. Let’s not go quietly into the night and accept government autocratic dictatorships. Are We Creeping Towards a Recession?  This week it was announced that Gross Domestic Product, or GDP, declined by 1.4%. Let me repeat: That’s NEGATIVE ONE POINT FOUR PERCENT! The economy shrank for the first time since the forced COVID lockdowns in early 2020. Measured quarterly, GDP measures the strength of our economy. Two consecutive quarters of negative GDP is called a RECESSION. Joe Biden, never one to take responsibility for his failed policies as the cause, blamed COVID for the alarming GDP measurement. Or, could it be the record high Bidenflation, lost wages and the increased prices of everything that has Americans very concerned about the direction of our economy? Keep spending more money and raising taxes, Joe. Because that’s a winning solution. NOT! FYI: BLM to Gather Wild Burros in the Black Mountain Herd Management Area  If you reside in the Kingman area, I wanted to make you aware that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be flying a helicopter to conduct burro gathering next week on the Black Mountain Herd Management area, west of Kingman. The large number of burros on our public lands has had serious consequences, including significant rangeland degradation, overgrazing, competition for food and water among ungulates, water quality impacts, devaluation of federal lands, and deteriorating habitat for wildlife species like the Greater Sage-Grouse. In addition, there have been negative impacts to the animals themselves, including starvation, dehydration, and death. I’d like to thank the BLM for their efforts to thin the wild burro population. Gosar Sponsors Legislation to Hold the National Personnel Records Center Accountable  This week, I cosponsored the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) Accountability Act, a bill to return the NPRC to pre-pandemic funding levels if it fails to process and resolve the personnel record backlog of 600,000 requests before October 1, 2022. Because of the pandemic, the NPRC was closed for nearly two years. During its closure, many veterans in my district did not receive the records they require to demonstrate their military service. As a result, many of these individuals could not and cannot receive the medical care, disability compensation, and retirement pay they have earned in a timely manner. The current backlog of some 600,000 cases needs to be swiftly resolved. This bill is simple: if NPRC does not do its job, they will lose the additional funding they received during the pandemic. The NPRC is an agency of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), which is responsible for maintaining records, such as DD-214 forms, for veterans to demonstrate military service. Veteran records are vital for a litany of reasons, especially for services such as ensuring necessary medical care is received and retirement pay is received. The legislation is a follow up to a letter I sent to the NARA asking for a briefing on the agency’s plan to reopen, which was held March 2, 2022. One day before the briefing, NARA announced the agency would reopen to full capacity. In that briefing, it was projected that the backlog would be eliminated by the end of this Fiscal Year under a new staffing structure. Forgive Student Loans?  Joe Biden and his democrat stooges keep talking about “forgiving” student loans. What that means is they want you and me to pay for their loans. Because the universities who got the money are not giving it back. If Mr. Biden tries to implement this foolish strategy, I will introduce legislation to take the equivalent money that is “forgiven” from every university endowment fund. Harvard alone has billions. If anyone should pay other than the borrowers than it should be the overpriced universities. Also, why stop at student loans? Why not “forgive” mortgages, car loans, and credit card debt? Just remember, there is no “forgiveness” of these loans. There is only someone else paying the bills. I’ll take that back as soon as some bank comes forward and states it does not want its money back. | This Week With Gosar PRESCOTT, AZ – Top Stories… BREAKING! COURT THROWS OUT ABUSIVE LAWSUIT AGAINST ME, ANDY BIGGS AND MARK FINCHEM  As most of you know, I have been following the election issues in Arizona since …well at least November 2020. We all saw the fake data swings, the breaking of Arizona election laws and abuse of mail-in voting. I was among the first to call for an audit. I knew an audit would either confirm or rebut allegations of fraud. I was fine either way. If the election was “perfect” as the Maricopa supervisors screamed, then I would be the first to rest easy and simply move ahead. If there was in fact fraud, then I knew we needed to do something to fix the election process and correct any fraudulent outcomes in the 2020 election. Simply shrugging our shoulders and saying, “oh well, maybe next time” doesn’t cut it when there is fraud. Fraud requires a remedy. A fix. The Arizona Senate, to its credit, conducted an audit and confirmed numerous fraudulent irregularities. We could say “I told you so.” Prior the audit being undertaken, I took to the floor of the House of Representatives on January 6th, 2021. I officially objected to the Arizona electors and asked the Vice President to remand, or send back, the slate to Arizona pending an audit. That request was made under federal law and the U.S. Constitution. There is nothing untoward about it, and democrats used the same law to challenge George Bush in 2001 and Donald Trump in 2017. Unknown to me and most people, a rally in front of the Capitol turned into a riot. At about the time I was speaking. My motion was interrupted, as was the whole day, and securing the Capitol from angry rioters became the imperative. We never regained our momentum or fair debate on the issues because of that, and my official business in Congress was interfered with. Today, we know that the FBI had infiltrators, informants and agents provocateur egging people on; we know that House leadership was warned of potential violence but they did not warn the rest of us; we know there were weird groups of semi militarized people “marching” around; we know radical leftists, like John Sullivan, were present and urged people to “burn” and destroy the Capitol. We also know many people got carried away by events. Over 500 arrests have been made and many of the January 6 defendants, most charged with non-violent crimes, remain languishing in fetid cells, denied bail, and denied basic human rights as political prisoners of the regime. Because I spoke up about the injustice I witnessed; because I sought the truth about the election; because I stood up on the floor of the House and spoke on behalf of real Americans in their concern for fair elections, a far leftist group, funded in part by George Soros and other leftist degenerates, sued me, Congressman Andy Biggs and state Representative Mark Finchem. Their goal is to keep us off the ballots this fall. The leftists know they can’t beat me at the ballot box fair and square. So, they are using lawfare to attack us. Fortunately, we drew a good judge who understands the law and the rules. Judge Coury dismissed the abusive claims against us on Friday. But true to their allegiance to Soros, the leftists have decided to appeal the dismissal. I will keep you posted. You Can Mask if Want to or You Can Leave Your Masks Behind!  For over a year I have maintained that the mask mandate from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) was unconstitutional and that Congress had not given the CDC the power to enact such draconian edicts. Only Congress has the power to take such action. Earlier this week, a federal judge agreed and ruled that Mr. Biden’s travel mask mandate was unconstitutional and exceeded the CDC’s statutory authority. No lives were saved due to wearing masks. Zero. Many lives were made worse. The behavior of airline staff, forced to become prison guards for the CDC, became intolerable and overbearing. That is why airline pilots, flight attendants and passengers alike openly celebrated the restoration of their rights wrongly taken by Biden and Fauci. Biden’s Border Crisis Worsens in March  According to new U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data released this week, more than 221,000 illegal aliens crossed our southern border. If you are not keeping track, here’s a quick breakdown of the number of lawbreakers that crossed our southern border JUST THIS YEAR: January: 153,941February: 164,973March: 221,303 Folks, the trend line doesn’t look good. That’s because it is not good. Its very, very bad. Biden’s Border Crisis is only expected to get worse following Biden’s decision to lift Title 42 in May (see my previous thoughts on Title 42 in the newsletter here). Speaking of My Newsletter…  This little tidbit was published in this week’s Rants and Raves column in the Kingman Daily Miner: Congressman Paul Gosar. Every voter needs to subscribe to Congressman Gosar’s weekly newsletter and be informed. He is hard working and does a great job, but receives little recognition, in consistently tackling many important issues. HE HAS MY VOTE! Can I get an AMEN? Florida Department of Health Prohibits Genital Mutilation and Sexual Grooming  As many of you know, there is an ongoing effort by school teachers, psychologists and other medical professionals engaging in sexual grooming of minors, or sexual mutilation of minors including chemical castration. I strongly oppose this immoral effort to harm our children. ‘ It is for this reason that the Florida Department of Health issued a directive to its licensed doctors that they are prohibited from sexual grooming and sexual mutilation of minors. This prohibits doctors of all types from assisting minors in “changing” someone’s God-given sex (male or female) by surgery and chemicals and hormones. Once a person reaches the age of 18, they can make their own decisions about chemical castration, surgery and other potentially permanent alterations. But prior to age 18, this should be illegal and any doctor engaging in such barbarity should lose their license and face jail time. Our children are not living, breathing medical experiments. They are children of God, and we should protect them. As for doctors who want to mutilate children, the pledge to do no harm especially applies to children facing life altering chemicals, hormones and puberty blockers. The danger of permanent harm is real and no credible doctor should be a part of this sexual mutilation.  “Drag queen story hour for children” could be a first step of sexual grooming, in my view. There is no reason I can think of for grown men in dresses, wigs and makeup to be grooming anybody’s kid. Kids should be left alone. Once they reach 18 year of age, they can decide if they want to see drag queens. Men in Women’s Sports  A couple years ago we would not have predicted that we now live in a society that allows men to claim to be a “woman” in order to compete in sports against actual women. I recently cosponsored H.R. 426, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This legislation would prohibit any sports program that receives federal money (which is most of them) from allowing genetic men from competing as women. The bill would also make it a violation for “athletic programs or activities to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls. Whether one is male or female is determined on what you were the day you were born. It is apparent that men who were not competitive in swimming or other sports against genetic men simply put on a different swimsuit and claimed to be a “woman” so they could then win some races. This is transparently wrong and immoral. We should not condone this attack on women’s rights and women’s sports. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently declared the second-place finisher as “the real winner” in the NCAA Women’s 500 Yard Freestyle after a genetic male calling himself “Lia” touched the wall first. Even famous transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner said the same: “Caitlyn Jenner teed off on Penn swimmer Lia Thomas, who became the first transgender athlete in any sport to win a NCAA Division I championship last week. The former Olympic decathlete, 72, said Thomas isn’t the “rightful winner” of the NCAA 500-yard women’s freestyle swimming championship following a similar proclamation from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who declared runner-up Emma Weyant the winner. “It’s not transphobic or anti-trans, it’s COMMON SENSE!” Jenner tweeted” If you have not watched comedian JP Sears, give him a shot. Gosar Files Amicus Brief in Support of States Being the Primary Regulators of Land and Water Resources  You may recall back in January I wrote about a family in Idaho who have been in a 15-year battle with the EPA over plans to build a home on their residential lot. I promised to keep you updated. This week, I joined 154 other House members on an amici curiae brief filed in support of the petitioners in the pending case Sackett v. Environmental Protection Agency beforethe U.S. Supreme Court. The Sackett case is directly related to how much authority the federal government has over states and private citizens to regulate “waters of the United States” under the Clean Water Act (CWA). I support policies that protect the environment while also ensuring that States retain their traditional role as the primary regulators of land and water resources, and that farmers, manufacturers, small business owners, and property owners like the Sacketts in this case can develop and use their land free of over-burdensome, job-killing federal regulations. This week, I had the good fortune to join members of the Arizona Farm Bureau on a tour of Mortimer Farms in Dewey, Arizona. Mortimer Farms is a real farm in Dewey, Arizona, where pumpkins, corn, berries, and veggies are grown. The farm is open to the public to enjoy, learn where your food comes from, and pick-your-own seasonal berries and produce.
