What the hell is going on in this country?
This past Friday, rather troubling economic data was released, primarily with regards to employment (or, in the case of the Biden administration, lack thereof).
Sure enough, instead of the anticipated 1 million jobs being added, a grand total of 266,000 jobs were added instead, a nearly 75 percent shortfall.
The Trump administration, this is not.
Of course, like any good Democrat, Biden and Co. had a ready excuse for a disastrous decline in jobs, and, also like any good Democrat, the excuse was utterly devoid of facts and laden with platitudes and generalities.
Just consider the commentary directly from one of the current administration’s many sycophants, Gina Raimondo, who is otherwise known as the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
“I think we have a long way to go to recover from the pandemic. There are so many Americans still struggling. Eight million fewer jobs than there were pre-pandemic … We are working very hard. In fact, we had a meeting with the president on Friday, and that was his direction to us, which is we are making bold moves, but there’s a long way to go and we have to be there to help Americans find jobs.” [Source: Fox News]
Yeah. “Working very hard.” Working very hard at destroying all of Trump’s pro-business policies, not to mention the most basic of basic national security measures.
On top of that, this particular administration packs a multitudinous whammy with its insistent hatred of anything pertaining to law enforcement or the military, which is evidenced by another one of De Blasio’s terrible decisions: Permitting individuals who consume extensive marijuana to march on Broadway to “celebrate” the recreational status of marijuana in the state of New Yok … while simultaneously denying veterans a chance to commemorate their sacrifice on Memorial Day.
Believe it or not, De Blasio actually had the gall to deny veterans the chance to march while turning a blind eye to a gaggle of potheads that effectively took over an entire park.
Jamie Gonzalez, a Marine veteran who served in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, perhaps described De Blasio’s behavior best:
“It’s a slap in the face … For many of us, a parade is a form of closure … We gather together and support each other.” [Source: Fox News]
Furthermore, Volkar Hyde, the Commandant of Staten Island’s Marine Corps League, called out De Blasio’s rather blatant bias even more clearly.
“Look, have any parade you want, I have no problem with that … But for the city to put dopeheads over vets is just dishonoring us.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, one thing is for sure: Those same “dopeheads” are surely the ones contributing to the abysmal employment numbers. After all, why bother working if you can sit at home “relaxing” all day, procuring all the recreational goodies in the world on the government’s dime?
Or, more accurately, the hardworking taxpayers’ dime.
Apparently, this blatant bias was allowed to occur due to the fact that the veterans dared to do things the legal way (apply through the NYPD) instead of the “back door” way, which involved getting a permit through a park, which should have never occurred.
A city official, who appeared to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, pointed out the fact that in De Blasio’s New York, rule breakers rule while rule followers … lose.
“People are just marching. That’s the new normal … The Staten Island people had the decorum and respect to go the proper way [and] they are suffering for their civic-mindedness … No one else is even asking permission.” [Source: Fox News]
No wonder Ted Cohen, an Air Force Veteran who served throughout the Cuban Missile Crisis, also skewered the bias, remarking, “I’m incensed … It’s pathetic.”
Fortunately, De Blasio might actually have to deal with the fact that his blatant bias (once again) technically violates constitutional liberties, as drily pointed out by Attorney Brendan Lantry.
“Under the equal protection clause, it’s unconstitutional for the city to pick and choose between groups like this … There’s a clear double standard going on here …
There’s a reason this goes through NYPD — for security for those in the parade and those on the sidelines … Parks should have no role in this parade, as it never has for a century.” [Source: Fox News]
A clear double standard indeed. And one can’t help but notice the correlation between gallivanting potheads coupled with massive unemployment benefits, not to mention the contrast for veterans that fought to protect their rights to do so in the first place …
