A profound notion at the very least…
Since our piddling computers can already fool nearly
everyone as to what is real and what is digitally made,
and that the human genome is already somewhat known,
seems not too great a leap that our brains will eventually
be understood and mapped, and then what?
Maybe it is the final piece in the Grand Unified Theory, the
Holy Grail of physics, that everything can be described by
a set of equations, including our own human consciousness.
