Consider, if you will, the connection between character and destiny.
One would like to believe that a righteous character would lead to a brilliant destiny and one would also like to believe that those in powerful and/or wealthy positions would be righteous characters.
The sad truth is that it just isn’t so. Maybe at some ancient time it was so, but too many’s the time when the good guy finishes last and crime ends up paying in spades.
Of course one must buy into the value of such temporal, Earthly rewards if such actually exist…
