Los Encinos Park

There’s a small park tucked away in Encino called Los Encinos. The park has a man-made lake, created in 1872, and a couple of commemorative buildings and exhibits regarding the origins of the area. But not even many locals know about it. Anyway, my wife and I go there every so often and feed the myriad birds that flock about the lake, sparrows, pigeons, ducks, geese and swans. Today we popped some popcorn and spent an hour there relaxing and doing just that. There’s a large lawn there where my cousin and I play serious Frisbee too.
