The older I get, the more apt I am to reply to someone criticizing me, saying, “You know, you’re right,” that I did something unfairly, incorrectly, or inconsiderately.
This inner honesty, humility if you will, appears to be a maturing beyond blinding pride.
It isn’t always easy to do. I don’t see much of it in others, but when I do it is completely refreshing and uplifting.
