Polarity and Balance

It’s a world of polarities, a world of this and that
The light doesn’t know itself from the dark.
A seemingly natural parade of two-sided coins
As likely it is to drive as it is to park.

Good and evil works in turn twisting in gyration
Positive or negative; it’s likely a judgment call
Subjective opposites are common relatives
Like running full speed into an immovable wall.

If a gentle balance exists between the poles
Then a profound implicit bonus is its hour
A symmetry of sorts built into perceived reality
An extra bit of sweetness amidst the sour.
