Professional Derailment Revisited

Compelled to press on through a fog of deception
Perceiving some truth is our dire need
Once forced to carry a massive burden of doubt
Sharing the weight, a patriot’s creed.

Determined to a fault, casting all lines aside
Demonstrating proof of an idea designed
We sift through the rubbish of media tripe
In order to find peace in safety resigned.

Opinions are driftwood in an alien sea of voices
And no one’s counts more than your own
Carefully gauge one’s persuasion and case
To arrive at solutions singularly alone.

Resolved that we owe ourselves the balance of fact
Analytically bridging the cheese from the chaff
Self-confined within boundaries of evidence
Bittersweetly we’ll find conclusions in a laugh.
